Enlightenment

The God you would hold exalted

and worship from afar

is no further away than your own heart.

There is nothing foreign or otherworldly

about experiencing your connectedness with God.

For, it is none other than your very own Divine essence,

ever-present within you, that reaches out in that embrace.

It is not something that suddenly enters.

It is something that has never left.

When you have experienced

the harmony of that heart-felt glow,

even for a fleeting moment,

the knowingness is indelibly etched upon your consciousness.

And that level of knowingness cannot be forgotten.

Once you are able to look at another being

and see no difference at all, there is no need for harmony.

For here, there Is only Oneness.

This is the place the story began. And this is the end

toward which all consciousness now strives to return.
