Synchronicity is the Universe Saying YES

Synchronicities are those moments of “meaningful coincidence” when the boundary dissolves between the inner and the outer. At the synchronistic moment, just like a dream, our internal, subjective state appears, as if materialized in, as, and through the outside world. Touching the heart of our being, synchronicities are moments in time in which there is a fissure in the fabric of what we have taken for reality and there is a bleed through from a higher dimension outside of time.

Synchronicities are expressions of the dreamlike nature of reality, as they are moments in time when the timeless, dream-like nature of the universe shines forth its radiance and openly reveals itself to us, offering us an open doorway to lucidity. Synchronicity was one of Carl Jung’s most profound yet least understood discoveries, in part because it cannot be appreciated until we personally step into and experience the synchronistic realm for ourselves. Jung’s discovery of synchronicity was in a sense the parallel in the realm of psychology to Einstein’s discovery of the law of relativity in physics. Because it is so radically discontinuous with our conventional notions of the nature of reality, the experience of synchronicity is so literally mind-blowing that Jung contemplated this phenomenon for over twenty years before he published his thinking about it.

Jung’s synchronistic universe was a new world view which embraced linear causality while simultaneously transcending it. A synchronistic universe balances and complements the mechanistic world of linear causality with a realm that is outside of space, time and causality. In a synchronicity, two heterogeneous world-systems, the causal and acausal, interlock and interpenetrate each other for a moment in time, which is both an expression of and the vehicle through which our deeper wholeness is revealing itself. The synchronistic universe is beginning-less in that we are participating in its creation right now, which is why Jung called it “an act of creation in time.”

People speak about synchronicity as something that just happens coincidentally. Something surprising occurs out of the blue and we attribute it to a “coincidence of time”. Hence, our tendency is to accept events that surprise us in positive ways as coincidental. Over the years of exploring consciousness, I have come to conclude that there is very little coincidence, chance, or luck involved in synchronous events, or life in general.

Any of us is able to create synchronicities by thinking, feeling, sensing, and acting in a specific way so as to consciously create them! This activity is what some people call “the secret art of manifestation”, but really there’s nothing secret to it. The true path to creating synchronicities consists of two simple steps. First, learn how to incorporate your heart’s intuition into your thinking process so that your heart is broadcasting a specific, measurable vibration. When you do this, you will start to know what it feels like to live in an open- hearted way. Once you are able to hold your heart open, simply become more aware of the universe offering signs of affirmation on choices in your life. Acknowledge synchronicities with an appreciative smile and move forward with confidence that you are making the best choices.

If there is a secret to it then it lies in learning the difference between a closed heart and an open heart, and choosing to create from the latter. As we do this, we align with more empowering thoughts. We have a heightened ability to sense the world around us, even on a non-local scale, and to then tap into opportunities that we would not have noticed if our hearts were shut down.

So what does an open heart feel like? It is simple. When your heart is open: You feel a sense of connection to yourself and everything around you. You are happy to be alive. You trust the process. You feel free to explore new things. You find yourself saying, “I can do it!” You stay aware of the possibilities around you. You listen to your intuition and follow it.

When your heart is closed, you feel the need to be on guard, you mistrust things and people, you find yourself saying “I can’t... because”. In this state, possibilities that are right there in front of you can’t make it through because you won’t see them. In the open-hearted state, you will find yourself being amazed over and over again at things that appear to “just happen”. But they didn’t just happen! The occurred because your heart is open, you created the groundwork, the pathway, and the possibility for synchronicity to help you steer your life's course.!

Perhaps the Dream is Dreaming Us

Reality is not a fixed domain of transient players but a creative outburst of intersecting eternal consciousness across an endless interconnected sea of infinite dimensionality. The vast majority of us still operate under the provably false premise that the illusion we call reality is stable, measurable, beyond our influence, and predictable. Few have awakened to the true dreamlike nature of reality, realizing that we are all just players in each other's dreams. Like reflections in a mirror, we are all interconnected aspects of each other’s being. To recognize the dreamlike nature of our situation is to recognize that we don’t exist as isolated entities separate from the universe, but rather, as relational beings who exist relative to each other. We are all related, parts of a greater whole, the living multifaceted expression of a singular divine being.

That which we imagine we are is only an un-reflected-upon and assumed model of who we are and is not who we really are, but is itself being dreamed by a deeper part of ourselves. There is a deeper dreaming Self beyond our imagination which is dreaming us. That is who we truly are, simultaneously the dream and the dreamer, not solely this vestment of skin and hair and bones that we imagine is the extent of our being. Reality consists of one great deeper, dreaming Self having a dream, which we find ourselves in.

Waking up to our identity with the deeper, dreaming Self, we snap out of the self-perpetuating, egoistic delusion that we exist in a way in which we simply, in reality, do not. The question then becomes: how do we best serve who we have now discovered ourselves to be? How does the deeper, dreaming Self which is dreaming us want us to dream itself into incarnation? How does the dream itself want to unfold through us?

Recognizing our dreamlike nature is the very act which empowers us to become in-sync lucid dreamers who can change the world. To quote an indigenous elder, one who is fluent in the dreamtime, “There’s a dream dreaming us, and we must get back to that dream, and the vision, the power, and the energies at the disposal of man’s dreaming self will help us to win the battle.”

A Participatory Universe

The Newtonian and Classical physics that I studied in college was about what were thought to be pre-existing, unchangeable laws of a separately existing universe that objectively existed independent of observation. When quantum physics was discovered and forced its way into the laboratory, it obliterated the notion of an independently existing world forever. Quantum physics forever shattered the idea of there being an objectively existing world, proving that there is no such thing. It is ironic that physics, long considered the most “objective” of all the sciences, in pursuing its dedicated quest to understand the deep nature of the material universe, has dispelled the very notion of an objective universe.

According to quantum theory, the idea of a world independent of our observation is not correct. Our perception of the universe is a part of the universe happening through us that has an instantaneous effect on the universe we are observing. We are not a self-enclosed, encapsulated, independent agent existing apart from the universe. Quantum theory has opened the door to a profoundly new vision of the cosmos, where the observer, the observed, and the act of observation are inseparably united.

Quantum physics has shown that passively observing the universe is impossible. Even something as minuscule as an electron necessitates reaching into the electron’s subatomic world to understand, which changes both the electron and its observers. It is impossible to gain information without changing the state of the system being measured, as we invariably bring about a different world by the very act of trying to determine the state of the world.

Essentially, consciousness has entered into the laboratory, and physicists are not quite sure what to do with it. Observing that consciousness is a part of everything has forced physicists to come to terms with questions of metaphysics, which for most physicists is not what they signed up for. Most physicists think that something as ethereal as consciousness, what has been referred to as “the unwanted stepchild of physics”, has no place in “real” physics. The prevailing mainstream view is that consciousness, or “philosophy,” is not supposed to be studied in a physics department. Anything that isn’t testable and can’t be measured is of no concern to most physicists.

Quantum physics is itself the greatest threat to the underlying metaphysical assumptions of “scientific materialism,” a perspective which assumes that there is an independently existing, objective material world that is separate from the observer. To the overwhelming majority of physicists, the role that consciousness plays in their experiments seems to run against the pure spirit of science – which in their view is always supposed to be impersonal and objective. And yet, like an uninvited, unwelcome guest at dinner, consciousness refuses to go away.

In quantum physics, we are no longer passive witnesses of the universe, but rather, we unavoidably find ourselves in the new role of active participants who give shape to and “create” the very universe we are interacting with. To understand quantum physics is to understand that we live in a participatory universe that we are responsible for
creating entirely.

As Within, So Without

Nearly all of the developments in science have been the result of asking the right questions. When we observe the world with our senses it is not nature itself that we witness, but nature as interpreted by the kinds of questions we ask, filtered by our perceptions and judgment about the world. The questions we ask are entirely the result of our individual and collective way of thinking.

What we think about and how we perceive the world around us affects reality at a very deep and basic quantum level, thereby informing and modifying the underlying fabric out of which third-dimensional reality emerges. What we wonder about alters the way in which reality presents itself to us. We ourselves create the reality of human experience with the questions we ask and the procedures that we undertake to find the answers to them.

It would seem obvious to assume that when we ask questions of nature, of the world seemingly outside of ourselves, that there is, in fact, an actual physical reality that exists apart from whatever can be thought or said about it. But the universe is not apart from us; it is a continually emerging expression, everlastingly contingent upon how we think about it, and thereby perceive and judge it.

We need only change our thinking to ask the right questions to change the world. If you don't like the world about you, dig deep and change how you question it. Change the way you perceive the world by changing how you judge it to arrive at the questions that will create the world you desire. The universe that we perceive is always a matter of what questions we ask. How to ask the question and when it is asked always plays a material role in what answer we get.

What is the universe ultimately revealing to us? The answer is that WE are its ultimate creators. We must each take responsibility to create the world we want in our own minds first to change our internal perceptions and judgments so as to manifest our creative role in the world through the questions we ask.

RESOLUTION

The first day of the year is traditionally marked as a time to embark on the resolution of new habits, ones that will lead to desired change or improved circumstance or personal enhancement. But the dawning of each day can be just as significant as the beginning of a new year to resolve to make a new start; for that matter the same could be said for each emerging moment we take breath and smile at our good fortune for being alive in this wonderful sentient experience. The world is pregnant with opportunity to reach for every dream in every moment, with full expectation that it can be attained.

I recently shared the delightful company of a Texas woman named Megan who completed her first one-hundred mile race in a remarkable time, deriving her energy from only mandarin oranges, grapes, celery, and drinking water. The attractive glow about her as she elaborated about the benefits of being a fruitarian more than captured my intrigue. Throughout my life I have experimented with all manner of strict fruit and vegetarian dietary regimens..... before ultimately concluding that we are not so much what we "eat" as we are what we "think". With that in mind, I have mostly set aside discipline, and indulged in a more creative approach to seeking my energy needs through food and drink. It has been my core belief for some time that if I BELIEVE something is good for me or will do no real harm, then so it is. I create my own reality.  There is too much anecdotal evidence in my experience for me to doubt the wisdom within this theory. So I generally indulge as I please when I eat, and enjoy the foods I consume.

Nonetheless.... I do BELIEVE eating more high vibration foods raises your personal vibration and facilitates spiritual growth. So, yeah, while I enjoy drinking beer and shots of bourbon, I also eat a lot of grapes, bananas, oranges, blueberries, pomegranites, celery, carrots, spinach, and avocados. And I like my pumpkin seeds, cashews, hemp hulls, flax seeds, and chia. While none of these require cooking to eat, some things just taste better when you do heat them up, like potatoes, yams, squash, cabbage, rice, quinoa, and amaranth. I eat a fair amount of these, but I also eat meat and fish and cheese and eggs and some processed food and sweets when it so pleases me. If I compromise my health by doing so, I don't worry about it. As far as I'm concerned, I will eat what is set before me most of the time and not worry whether or not a thing is deleterious to my health. My body is resilient and will tolerate periodic variance or binges as long as I BELIEVE it is so. The worry is worse than the poison.

Maybe it all boils down to trust. I live a charmed life of divine nonchalance; I live as I please. I trust that I live in a loving, nurturing universe. I trust that this Cadillac of a body that I cruise around in will serve me well for as long as I need it. So, with the beginning of this new calendar year, the beginning of a new day to embrace the fortunes and challenges of this glorious incarnation, and the beginning of every cherished moment of this wonderful spiritual existence, I resolve to ever remind myself of my own divinity and not get too caught up in the details. As I spiral upward in my vibration I seem naturally to chose to eat more fruits, vegies, seeds, and nuts anyway.  I trust that the universe will lead me where I need to be and what I need to do.

Dolphins as Avatars

Dolphins around the world seem always to have had a very tight symbiotic relationship with humans. They like to come around when humans are swimming in the ocean. There have been countless cases where drowning humans have been saved by dolphins continually bumping them to the surface. Even though we don't comprehend their language, they still talk and laugh and play with us.

There is a true story about a psychologist with a terminal condition who was advised to get more exercise by swimming. When he went into the water, dolphin after dolphin after dolphin surrounded him, rubbing and brushing against him, communicating in a way that he could sense. With continued exposure to his new friends he began learning things, independently knowing things. The dolphins "treated" him over a period of time as he kept getting better and better. Not only did he completely heal, but his neural capabilities seemed to sharpen and expand his senses, which he, in turn, attributed to a sort of telepathic gifting by the dolphins.

This same psychologist went on to create an entirely new psychology around this inter-species communication which he, in turn, used to train top generals in the Soviet military in the 1980's. After five days of such training these military leaders went to the Soviet Politburo and dictated that they were no longer going to wage war. As the story is told, this was the beginning of Gorbachev's Glasnost and Perestroika initiatives which culminated with the removal of the Berlin Wall.

If all of this is true, then one must look more deeply at the overall relationship between humans and dolphins on this planet. Are they perhaps advanced beings here to serve as allies and help guide us toward a more positive evolutionary development?

Water Babies

Humans probably started as aquatic animals. If you look at the structure of the ears, nasal passages, and eyes, and the way our openings seal, it becomes obvious that at some point our species was at least partially aquatic. Looking at the first nine months after conception we all develop in a very comfortable bath of amniotic bliss, even while our lungs develop.

Russian scientists discovered that if a mother gives birth under water in a dimly-lit, warm saline environment and the newborn is naturally brought out of the water to the mother's breast, the resulting IQ's of these individuals was 20 to 40 points higher throughout their lives. When babies are born into bright light there seems to be major trauma to their young nervous systems which may take months if not years to recover from. Researchers discovered that infants kept in an aquatic environment during their first few months had accelerated organ development, especially the brain, leading them to hypothesize that such nurturing may, in fact, be optimal for humans. One entire community in Russia has practiced this, along with other contributing factors, for more than a generation with the result being that the average IQ is somewhere between high genius and super-high genius.  Fascinating to discover that there may, in fact, be a better way to bring our children into the world.

A Dream is a Portal

A dream is a portal;
A portal, perhaps,
To a higher knowing.

A dream is a finger beckoning;
An invitation given;
A clue to what is more
But mistaken
For what is less.

A dream is a gift given
And a gift received.

The wise attend to dreams,
Knowing well that
Dreams attend to them,
Nurturing them gently
With milk
From the Mothership.

All Is Just as it Should Be

All the important news is good.

The universe is a friendly place which is designed to support us completely.

We are immersed in a benevolent cosmic ecosystem, a God-process, which is uncomplicatedly benign and which nourishes us at every level of our being.

Everything is alive. Everything is intelligent. Everything is conscious.

Everything is changing. Everything is improving. Everything is becoming more.

The universe is richly inhabited with positive beings of light, many of who are far more advanced than we are. Their mission and their joy is to welcome us, nurture us, heal us, protect us, guide us and assist us in our evolutionary return to the internal experience of Godhead.

There is nothing wrong with us; at the level of our core essence we are perfect.

We are held softly in the understanding arms of inclusion. We are comprehensively loved at all times, whatever we think or do.

Everything we need has been thought of by those who know us better than we know ourselves.

Everything we need is immediately available to us if we ask.

All is well and all will be well.

Prayer is Not What We Say to God. Prayer is What God Says to Us.

Alcuin: What do you think about praying, Flutterby? Is prayer a waste of time?
Flutterby: No, it's not. For a lot of people on your planet, perhaps for most, prayer can be a very useful spiritual exercise.
Alcuin: What is prayer?
Flutterby: Prayer is breathing.
Alcuin: Breathing?
Flutterby: Yes. Prayer is breathing.
Alcuin: What sort of breathing?
Flutterby: Slower than usual, deeper than usual, conscious breathing.
Alcuin: What? Really stretch the ribcage? Hold the breath for as long as possible?
Flutterby: No. Not that. No useful spiritual exercise involves pain, strain, endurance or unpleasantness. Just breathe a little slower than usual and a little deeper than usual. And maybe pause the breathing process for four or five seconds between each inhalation and exhalation. And while you do that, gently pay attention to the breathing process and enjoy it.
Alcuin: Enjoy it? Enjoy prayer?
Flutterby: Yes.
Alcuin: Prayer is boring.
Flutterby: If prayer is boring, it is not prayer at all.
Alcuin: Isn't it?
Flutterby: No. Breathing is not boring. Conscious breathing is deeply refreshing.
Alcuin: Eyes shut or eyes open?
Flutterby: You decide. Do what feels best for you. Maybe close your eyes and, while you're breathing, focus your attention on the ajna centre between the eyebrows.
Alcuin: The third eye?
Flutterby: Yes. The interdimensional eye.
Alcuin: Right. What about posture?
Flutterby: How do you mean?
Alcuin: Kneeling? Standing up? Sitting down? What is the best posture for breathing?
Flutterby: You decide. Try out a few different postures. See what works for you. See which position helps you to breathe with the greatest comfort and freedom. Sitting up straight with an absolutely vertical spine, or lying down with an absolutely horizontal spine helps a lot of people.
Alcuin: Why?
Flutterby: Because for a lot of people the human spiritual anatomy seems to function best that way.
Alcuin: The chakras and things?
Flutterby: Yes. The interdimensional portals and energy centres in the human spiritual anatomy seem to work well in those orientations.
Alcuin: Is anything which makes you breathe especially slowly or especially deeply a form of prayer?
Flutterby: You could say that. One of the reasons why lots of sex is good for you is that it makes you breathe more and it makes you breathe deeply and it makes you breathe better. And the same thing goes for exercise and laughing and singing.
Alcuin: What should we think about when we are prayer-breathing?
Flutterby: Think about as little as possible, I would say. Just enter the process peacefully and become the breathing itself.
Alcuin: Isn't that a bit passive?
Flutterby: You could say that, yes. But prayer is not what we say to God. Prayer is what God says to us.

St. Germain and the Violet Flame

You always get that which you ask for if you ask for it with your Soul.
If you ask in words alone, you will not receive what you ask for because you have not asked God for it - you have asked your senses for it.
When, however, you have actually written your desire into your heartbeat, as some have automatically done all their lives, from moment to moment, you unfailingly acquire the knowledge you ask for.
It comes to you in a timeless flash, in the rhythmic language of Light which God uses to talk to His children.
