Full Wolf Moon 2021

The first full moon of the year rises tonight. The Full Wolf Moon is a powerful time for both releasing what no longer serves us, and harnessing powerful lunar energy. Traditional peoples lived by the cycles of the moon. It is still important to learn to live in harmony with the Moon, especially when it is at the peak of its activity, and it is especially beneficial to exercise intellectual activity during this time. It is also an opportune time to go inward and release what one has been holding back.

The full moon of January is the most ferocious of the year and was one of the least welcome of all the full moons to Native Americans and early European colonists. It arrives during the harshest, most unforgiving time of the year. They called it the Full Wolf Moon because of the packs of hungry wolves that often patrolled just outside the protection of their villages.

I was born under the sign of Gemini. For my sign this is a time when the events of the world encourage me to share some of my more esoteric views through my writing. I know that not everyone accepts my worldview or opinions, but the lunar energy during this time serves to strengthen my powers of communication at this time. It is a good time to journal my thoughts such as I do in this blog and express those ideas that I have been holding back from sharing with others through writing. There is much that I sense approaching that would cause the sheep to tremble under the light of the moon. A wolf must be extra vigilant with the shadow he casts in these anxious times, attempting not to rouse an unnecessary panic among the befuddled sheep.
