Focus and Faith

The world is not the way most people would like it to be. We wish and hope and dream of a better world, but awaken to find the same one as yesterday. Many wonder in despair, where is our salvation in our time of dire need? But it doesn't work like that. God is not going to lift his little finger to help. We were gifted with free will at the start and each one of us has all the tools we need to make the world exactly how we want it to be.

Think about it. Everything we as human beings have ever created was first created in our minds. All that we see that is the result of human innovation first found expression in someone's mind before becoming manifest in our world. The wonderful things we have created as well as the horrible things we have done both originated in the mind. If the world is not where we would like it to be, we must first get our minds right.

If we do not have the power to keep our mind the way we want it, it will appear that what we create in life is accidental. Learning to create our thoughts the way we want is the basis of creating the world we want. If one organizes the mind, it organize the entire system – body, mind, emotions, and life's fundamental energies. Once everything is lined up in an organized fashion, whatever you want in life just happens – usually without effort.

Being proactive to obtain what one wants may help, but manifestation of what one wants will happen regardless - if one keeps these four dimensions focused unwaveringly in a single direction for a period of time. For many of us, the problem with the mind is that it is ever changing direction.

If we want to travel to a certain destination and we keep changing the direction of our travel, the likelihood of us ever getting there is small, unless it just happens by chance. It requires a certain discipline to focus the mind in one direction, aligning all four dimensions – body, mind, emotions, and the energy around us – to achieve what we want with ease.

Once these dimensions are organized, then it is merely a matter of making sure mental action, bodily action, emotional action, and energetic action are pointed in the right direction. If this doesn't occur, we become self-destructive. That is a biggest problem on the planet today. The technological creations designed to make our lives easier and more convenient have become misdirected and are destroying the basis of our well-being.

What should have been a blessing, we are making a curse out of it. Instead of directing the world with conscious action, we are acting out of compulsion. Organizing our minds essentially means moving from a compulsive state of activity to a conscious state of disciplined focus.

If there is something you want, yet believe for one reason or another that it is not possible... at that moment, you might as well be saying “I don't want it”. On one level you are creating a desire that you want something, while on another level you are saying you don't want it.

Faith is an interesting concept. It generally works for simple-minded persons. People who think too much generally find it does not work for them. The simple person who has learned to ask for what he wants, without imagining how he is going to get it, but trusting that it will be so, is applying a simple law of how the universe works. All the holy books and masters attest to the power of asking with faith.

When a simple mind asks for something with faith, there are no negative thoughts. “Will it happen?” “Will it not happen?” “Is it possible?” “Is it not possible?” These inquiries are removed by the simple act of faith. Ask, believe, and let the universe go to work to fulfill your wish. Focus a quieted mind in one direction and bring the world of your dreams to your doorstep. Work with the universe and it shall provide that which you desire. Stop analyzing. Stop doubting. Be simple. Withhold expectation. The kingdom is already yours. Let it be.
