"You are constantly changing the form, the shape, the contour, and the meaning of your physical body and most intimate environment, although you do your best to ignore these constant alterations.”
The underlying premise of Seth's ideology is that each us of creates our own reality at every moment. While it is commonly known that our bodies are ever under construction and repair, most take this for granted as occurring without our direct participation as if by some magical biological directive incumbent within all of life. But, at some level, each of us is in fact the captain of our own ship, directing every measure in the course of our lives, including the health of our physical body and the circumstances that we choose to interact with in the world.
As an athlete, I am ever mindful of steering my physical body in such a way that I am able to continue performing at the highest level possible for as long as I can. When you understand that we are responsible for all choices that impact the health and fitness of our physical bodies, then conventional understandings of any limitations on health and performance evaporate. We can each choose to live healthier and longer in each moment and thereby impact the manifest expression of our experience in the world at will.
Physical reality is quite literally created from each of our personal psychological positions within simultaneous time, within our individual dimensions of existence.
"My environment, as I told you, changes constantly, but then, so does your own. You rationalize away quite legitimate intuitive perception at such times. For example, if a room suddenly appears small and cramped to you, you take it for granted that this change of dimension is imaginative, and that the room has not changed regardless of your feelings. The fact is that the room under such conditions WILL have changed quite definitely, and in very major respects, even though the physical dimensions will still measure the same. The entire psychological impact of the room will have altered. ...you (literally) hallucinate the room.”
"Existence on your plane or any other plane is merely self-hypnosis.”
quotes from Seth Speaks by Jane Roberts, Session 514, pp. 23-28, February 9, 1970
The wise have long said the world is an illusion. The world is not an illusion, it is a real, perfect, and spiritual expression of God. Rather, it is humanity's hypnosis and false beliefs about the world that constitute the illusion. We are all hypnotists. The spell we cast generates the outcome that we choose for the way we want our lives to be. If you don't like anything about your life, you can change the spell at any moment.
"You do not feel the unsurpassable force that thoughts have. You do not understand that they do form events, that to change events you must first change thoughts."
