How to Shift Reality in Your Favor... Seriously

Most people believe what they see with their eyes is the only reality. They fight circumstances, try to change conditions, and wonder why nothing truly changes. It is because they're living in the wrong dimension. Neville Goddard discovered in 1948 something that shattered everything he thought he knew about time: Your present moment is not real-time. It's old news... a delayed broadcast... the result of assumptions you held weeks or months before. This post reveals Neville Goddard's fourth dimension secret — how to access the dimensionally larger world where everything you want already exists, and how to correctly shift reality by living from the upstream source instead of fighting downstream effects.

What you're experiencing right now, this very moment, is not actually happening now. It's already happened. Your present moment is old news. It's a delayed broadcast. And the moment you understand what I'm about to reveal, you'll never look at your circumstances the same way again.

There are two worlds operating simultaneously. Most people live their entire lives aware of only one. They react to what they see. They try to change conditions. They fight against circumstances. And they wonder why nothing ever truly changes. But there is another world, a dimensionally larger world. And in this world, everything you could ever want already exists... not as potential, not as possibility, but as concrete reality waiting to be materialized into the world you can see with your physical eyes.

This is the secret of the fourth dimension. Let's look at exactly how to access it.

There is the three-dimensional world of facts. This is the sensory, physical, observable reality that you can see with your eyes, touch with your hands, measure with instruments. This is the world of results, of circumstances, of consequences.

Then there is the four-dimensional world. This is the world of imagination, of identity, of expectations, of meaning. It is the world of changeability itself. For time, the fourth dimension is nothing more than a medium for changes in experience.

What almost no one understands is that these two worlds are not separate. One is upstream, one is downstream. The three-dimensional reality you experience is not the source. That's downstream. It's an echo. It's a projection. It's delayed information.

Your present reality is, as some have called it, old news. It is the result of patterns of thinking and habits of emotion that you've been holding for some time. These patterns have activated information in the fourth dimension that have over some interval materialized into your three-dimensional reality.

And this is why most people remain stuck. They believe the visible world is the only world. They believe circumstances are fixed. They believe they must change conditions in the third dimension to change their experience. But that's backwards.

Let's look at why your manifestations haven't worked yet. It's not because the law doesn't work. It's not because you're doing it wrong. It's because you're expecting real time results from a delayed broadcast.

The present moment is not real time. There is an interval, a time lag between assumption and manifestation, between seed and harvest. And it is during this interval where most people give up. They change internally. They shift their assumption. They dwell in the wish fulfilled. And then 48 hours later, when nothing has changed in the visible world, they assume it didn't work.

But what they don't understand is this:

The world is a mirror forever reflecting what you are doing within yourself.

But a mirror doesn't show you what you're doing now. It shows you what you were doing moments ago. There's a delay.

Scripture tells us “to everything there is a season, and a time to every purpose under heaven... a time to plant and a time to harvest.” Do you plant a seed and expect to harvest the next day? No. You understand there are intervals of time between planting and reaping. The same is true with assumption. All assumptions, if persisted in, harden into fact... but there is always an interval, and during this interval the old patterns continue to show up as echoes.

Let me share with you something from the world of science that proves this. Professor Richard Fineman, the physicist from California Institute of Technology, wrote about a particle called a positron. He said, "A positron starts from where it hasn't been, and it moves to where it was a moment before. Arriving there, it is bounced so hard that it's time sense is reversed and it moves back to where it hasn't been.”

This is precisely what imagination does. I go forward in time to where I have not yet visited physically and I simply enclose myself in the feeling of the wish fulfilled. I haven't realized it physically, but I go forward in my imagination into the state and I occupy that state until it becomes natural. Then I open my eyes and I am startled to find that I'm still sitting where I was a moment before. What I have just done is denied by my senses, but strangely enough, the whole vast world reshuffles itself and forms what I call “a bridge of incidents” across which I move to the fulfillment of that state where I have been in imagination.

Most people try to force feeling. They strain. They try to manufacture excitement. But that's not how it works. Here is an anecdotal illustration of how this works: A freelance designer once wrote to me and said that in the past six months, she'd received very few orders from a company that had kept her very busy for years. When she called them to inquire, they told her they had employed a full-time art director and would no longer require her services. This was devastating news... her largest client gone, her income suddenly uncertain. But she didn't panic. She didn't accept this as final. Instead, she hung up the phone and immediately turned to imagination.

She revised that conversation in her head and she heard them tell her, "We have lots of work for you." She FELT the thrill in their words. She occupied that state with complete focus until it felt more real than the conversation that had actually occurred. One week later, the phone rang. It was the same company. They asked her to design a 26-page book of institutional advertising plus four ads for Harper's Bazaar... more work than they had ever given her at any one time in all the years she'd worked with them.

She wrote to me, "My technique is simple. I sit in my chair and quietly listen for the phone to ring. I hear it ring in my imagination. I answer it and they tell me what I want to hear. That's all." The visible 3D world said she was finished with that client. But the fourth dimension said otherwise... and it is the fourth dimension that is the source. The third dimension must conform.

Understand what the fourth dimension actually is. People think it's some mystical realm that's separate from them. But let me explain it another way. A point is a cross-section of a line. A line is a cross-section of a surface. A surface is a cross-section of a solid. And a solid is a cross-section of a four-dimensional object. This means that when you meet someone, you meet only a cross-section of their four-dimensional self. You see them as they appear in this moment. But their four-dimensional self includes every moment of their life from birth to death... all existing simultaneously.

And what is the fourth dimension? It is time. It is changeability... for time measures life without employing the three dimensions of length, width and height. Time is a fourth way of measuring an object. The new quality that the fourth dimension gives is changeability. All changes take time. And if you can move along time's length, you can see the future and alter it if you so desire.

This world which seems so solidly real is a shadow out of which and beyond which you may at any time pass. It is an abstraction from a more fundamental and dimensionally larger world. And you prove the existence of this dimensionally larger world by simply focusing your attention on an invisible state and imagining that you see and feel it.

Here's where most people make a fatal mistake. They give up during the interval. They change their assumption for a day, a week, maybe a month... and when nothing visible changes, they return to the old state. But scripture tells us, "Let us not grow weary in well-doing. For in due season we shall reap if we faint not. In due season, not immediately, not instantly, but in due season there is an appointed time, a harvest time. And if you persist, if you do not faint, the harvest MUST come.”

Let me share another story. I once knew a woman who had been estranged from her daughter-in-law and grandson for over two years. There had been a conflict, a running sore of resentment that seemed impossible to heal. She wanted reconciliation, but every attempt had failed. The separation had hardened into what seemed like permanent fact, but she understood the principle that the visible world is not the source... so one night she sat down and mentally wrote herself two letters: one from her daughter-in-law expressing great kindness, saying that she had been missed in the home and asking when she was coming to visit, and one from her grandson saying, "Grandmother, I love you", expressing thanks for his last birthday present, and begging her to come see him soon.

She memorized these letters and as she was about to fall asleep, she took her imaginary hands and held these letters. She read them mentally to herself until they woke in her a feeling of joy, a feeling that she was wanted once more. She read these letters over and over and over, feeling the joy that was again hers because she had received them.

Then she fell asleep in that feeling. For seven nights, this woman read these imaginary letters. On the morning of the eighth day, she received an actual letter in the mail. Inside the envelope were two letters, one from her grandson, one from her daughter-in-law... identical to the letters she had mentally written to herself seven days before.

When your eye is open, you realize that all you behold, though it appears without, is within... within your own imagination of which this world of mortality is but a shadow.

You might say, "But Neville, I've changed my thinking. I've done the visualizations. I've occupied the state. Why hasn't my reality changed?" And my answer is this:

The present moment is not real time.

It's a projection of past thinking and emotional conditioning.

You've been occupying the old state for months, perhaps years. The momentum of that old state doesn't just disappear instantly.

But here's the good news. You need very little positive thinking to create something positive. But, on the flip side, you have needed a lot of negative thinking to create your current negative situation.

The law is weighted in your favor, and the moment you truly shift, the moment your assumption becomes complete, the bridge begins forming... not weeks later, not months later. The instant your assumption is whole, creation begins. The question is... are you truly assuming it or are you simply wishing for it while still identifying with lack?

Scripture says, "Therefore, I tell you, whatever you ask in prayer, believe that you have already received it, and it WILL be yours." ...not will receive... but received. Present perfect tense, it's already done in the fourth dimension. You simply wait for the interval to pass.

Let me share one more story that illustrates the power of imagination working across space and time. A friend once wrote to me from New York telling me about a doctor friend of his there who had developed a growth on his face that he feared might be malignant, and then he was diagnosed with Parkinson's disease. As a physician, this man believed his condition was considered incurable. The medical world had no solution for him.

My friend asked me, "Can you do anything for him when you are so far away?" But... understand... I am not 3,000 miles away... for everything exists within me. Distance and separation are illusions of the three-dimensional world. In the fourth dimension, there is no distance. There is only consciousness.

So I brought this doctor before me in my imagination. I put my hand on his face, but I didn't put it on a face with lumps. I put it on a face with smooth skin. I felt only smooth skin in my imagination. And then he and I walked together, and he did not stumble. He walked as a healthy man would walk. That's all I did.

Ten days later, a letter arrived. Something had happened within him. The lumps were gone. He was no longer shaking. He was back in his office seeing patients again. The medical world would say his condition was incurable... but imagination knows no such thing as incurable. Imagination is God and with God all things are possible.

So how do you actually live in both worlds simultaneously? Because that's the secret. You don't abandon physical reality. You infuse it with imaginal reality. You pay your bills, but you pay them as someone who has abundance, not as someone who's struggling. You go to work, but you move through your day as someone whose dream career is already unfolding. You fall asleep alone, but you rest with the peace of someone who is deeply loved. Same actions, different identity.

The third dimension is where you practice. The fourth dimension is who you practice being. This is what Christ meant when he said “if someone strikes you on the right cheek, turn to them the other cheek also.” He wasn't teaching passivity. He was teaching attention control. You notice the problem. You allow it to exist, but then you shift your attention. You turn your cheek. You turn your head in a different direction.

You stop feeding the problem with your awareness and you feed the solution instead.

And over time, generally a short period of time, the problem dissolves... not because you fought it, but because you stopped giving it light with your attention.

These aren't complicated techniques. They're simple, practical, instantly usable, and they work because they're based on the principle that imagination creates reality. Fourth-dimensional thinking is not fantasy. It's not positive thinking. It's not daydreaming. It is a skill... the skill of holding a future, a psychologically real future while the present reality is still catching up.

This requires a regulated nervous system... attention, sovereignty, the ability to stop paying attention to problems, which may be a huge challenge for human beings because we're wired to notice threats, to focus on danger, and to solve problems by analyzing them. But you cannot access the fourth dimension from survival mode.

Third dimensional thinking keeps you locked in your current reality because it's based on fear and hyper-vigilance and focusing on what you don't want. Fourth-dimensional thinkers allow the future. They feel the future. They imagine the future without needing evidence. And they act from alignment, not urgency.

There is nothing to solve in the third-dimensional space. You simply stay aligned with the vision you have. You make decisions without emotional bargaining. You participate fully in physical life while holding your future from the fourth dimension... and you allow the circumstances that are occurring in your present moment to evolve into the future without needing to resist them or fight them or fix them. You don't deny problems, but you don't personalize them either. You choose who you are regardless of what is.

The question isn't whether another dimension exists. The question is whether you're willing to stop letting the third dimension define you. Most people wait for their circumstances to improve before they allow themselves to think differently or feel differently or decide differently. Those who create extraordinary outcomes do exactly the opposite. They stop sourcing their identity from the third dimension. They stop arguing with what's happening. They stop treating today as the only way it can be and they learn how to live physically here while thinking, deciding, and choosing from somewhere ahead from the fourth dimension. And when you do that consistently, the echo fades. Your current reality starts to quiet and life starts to reorganize in ways you don't have to force.

So my invitation to you is this. Make a new decision. Hold the decision. Occupy the state of the wish fulfilled and watch over the interval as your three-dimensional reality shifts to match what you've been doing in the fourth dimension. You don't change your life by fighting what's in front of you. You change it by changing where you're operating from.

Transmission from Thoth:

Reverse Timing and the Return to the Divine Blueprint

Beloved ones, you move through time as conscious creators of what is unfolding. What you call “the past” is not behind you. It lives as an echo within the body, within the nervous system, within the emotional field. Each time you revisit a memory with the identity of “this is me, this is who I am,” you are not remembering, you are re-creating. You give life again to an old story.

Reverse timing is the art of no longer feeding the echo. It is the choice to stop carrying time inside the body. There is a simple doorway for this. When you notice yourself spiraling into old emotions, old self-images, old reactions, choose one word that becomes your circuit breaker. A word like: “Now” or “Reset” or “Next.”

Say it gently, not as a fight with your thoughts, but as a signal to your nervous system that the loop is complete. You are not suppressing emotion, you are interrupting the unconscious repetition of it. You stop recreating it, and identifying with it.

This single word becomes a key. It tells your body: the story is no longer being carried forward. It tells your mind: we are not traveling backward in time anymore. It returns you to presence, which is the only place from which renewal happens.

There is another practice that bends time in your favor. You may call it the Reverse Time Capsule. Instead of remembering the past and letting it define you, you remember the future state of yourself that is already whole.

Close your eyes and feel into a version of you that is calm, clear, strong in your body, at ease with your choices, breathing freely, moving with trust in life. Do not try to see every detail. Feel the emotional tone of that version of you. Feel the steadiness. Feel the relief. Feel the natural confidence of being aligned.

Now allow that future emotional state to move backward into this moment, as if time is flowing from the fulfilled version of you into your present body. This reverses the usual pattern. Instead of the past shaping your now, the aligned future becomes the reference point for your present actions.

From this state, your choices change naturally. You begin to feel drawn toward food that supports your vitality, toward movement that opens your body instead of punishing it, toward rhythms of rest, breath, and simplicity that regulate your nervous system... not because you force discipline, but because alignment feels better than self-abandonment.

And speak this intention, not as a hope, but as a recognition: “My body is now perfectly realigned with its divine blueprint.” This blueprint is not an ideal imposed from outside. It is the original intelligence of your cells before fear, stress, and survival patterns shaped them.

When you speak this intention consistently, your body begins to reorganize around coherence. Your systems remember how to self-correct. Your instincts guide you toward what restores balance.

Reverse timing is not about going backward. It is about releasing the habit of dragging yesterday into today. It is about allowing the body to unlearn tension.

It is about letting the future version of your wholeness become your guide.

Each time you say your reset word, each time you feel into the future version of your aligned self, each time you affirm your return to the divine blueprint, you loosen the grip of old timelines.

You do not age because time passes. You age because you carry unprocessed time within the body. When time is released from the body, the body remembers how to renew itself.
